In this session we overview the status of the main sub-groups within NA4, highlighting progress and main issues
The main goals of a common session JRA1/NA4 should be:
This session will be discussions based and will address areas of particular
interest to the applications and operations community. Two major issues are
a) Getting non-HEP VOs set up on LCG - the status and procedures
b) Bringing new non-HEP resources onto LCG (e.g. from Biomedicine
and 'other' application areas). We will discuss procedures, and the status
of negotiation for identifying new resources.
The first goal of this session is for applications to get a better understanding of the networking activities in EGEE. The second goal is to discuss application requirements on networks in terms of networking monitoring and bandwidth allocation. Two use cases, one for HEP and one for biomed, will be used to drive the discussion.
The goal of this final session is to make sure all issues are addressed and give anyone the opportunity to ask questions.
