The Web Collaboration Wave: Tsunami or Rip Tide?
Now that many of us are comfortable with video conferencing, we think we may be ready to take that next step to share or even collaboratively create data. But what are we, as a community, really asking for? And what are vendors now providing? And at what cost?
In this session, based on the work of a small Internet2/ViDe working group, I will try to put some perspective on how collaborative tools have been evolving and what those in the higher-ed community have told us they want. Examples of several current tools and case studies will be included.
