SIMDAT involves industrial partners from 3 application domains (Automotive, Aerospace, Pharma) and several weather centers. Grid research is performed on seven technology sectors. Intel and IT Innovation are in charge of the basic grid layers. All partners are interested to link their own computer resources using grid technology within their specific community. Regarding the basic grid layers we would like to rely on existing grid infrastructure implementations. Therefore it would be our interest to have Intel and IT Innovation experimenting with the EGEE Grid Infrastructure. This experiments would not take substantial computing times and would be based on artificial test cases. Having SIMDAT involved would provide a link between different EU grid Initiatives. However, your questionaire does not really fit to our intension of using your (software) infrastructure. If you are interested in further discussion I could come to Genf (or send a representative) and present the SIMDAT project and our interest in a collaboration.
