This is the kick-off meeting for the NA4/SA1 working group.
It will deal with the top level problems of integrating new VOs
into the LCG/EGEE infrastructure from the aspects of integrating new resources,
negotiating the use of distributed resources and the human and technical
interfaces necessary from the application VO(s) to the services provided
by LCG/EGEE.
The first meeting will focus on the issues associated with Biomedicine.
In future meetings we will move onto problems of the selected new applications areas (their VO managers will participate to initial meeting by phone conference)

An overview will be given of the operation of the
ROCs and what services are provided to VOs. One
important issue will be the mechanism of negotiating resources for VOs with national agencies.
Based on the experience with the HEP experiments we should try to define a model for user support for
the non-HEP VOS.
The NA4/SA1 WG will not deal with user support as such, but it should help define the model.
