This is now scheduled for the week beginning January 16th. We will be ramping up individual sites prior to this, in particular during the week of January 9th.

This only involves Tier0 and Tier1s for disk - disk (SRM) transfers.

The rates below indicate the target rate that should be sustained simultaneously with stable transfers to all other sites. Rates in brackets are the nominal (MoU) values where different.

(We foresee defining a specific target for stability, such as the average daily rate to an individual site should not vary by more than 15% (?) wrt previous and subsequent days.)

TRIUMF have stated that they would like to target a higher rate than their nominal value, whereas PIC will be constrained by their shared 1Gbps link in January (upgrades to 2Gpbs in March and finally 10Gbps in November).

Any other corrections to these target data rates should be communicated as soon as possible so that the target data rates out of CERN can be confirmed and cross-checked with the network infrastructure team.

As it is clearly very important that we repeat these tests and understand if the issues previously seen have been resolved, we would like to request that there is no major data movement driven by the experiments during this period.

There is still a lot of detailed preparation work that needs to be carried out in the remaining weeks of this year and early next, which we will follow up on using the weekly phone conference and mailing lists inter alia.

Thanks alot,
