Description
The course aims at providing attendees with general expertise on the concepts of the most widely used Grid middleware implementations, development of Grid applications using Globus command line tools, GEMLCA and P-GRADE Portal, and management skills to install Globus 4, GEMLCA and the P-GRADE Portal.

Day 1 introduces Grid computing concepts, the most widly used Grid middleware implementations and details Globus Toolkit 4 services. Day 2 introduces high level technology neutral Grid application developer and executor environments. Day 3 includes tutorials on Globus Toolkit 4, GEMLCA and P-GRADE portal installation.

Attendees will be provided with certificates to use the GT4 based Westfocus, the GT2 based UK NGS and the EGEE based GILDA Grids during the practicals.
