        Case study - HARP 1h 593--10

        593--10

        CERN

This talk will review the design of the HARP Oracle database, one of the largest presently deployed at CERN. The database contains over 200 GB of HARP event metadata, referring to the 25 TB of raw event records stored on CASTOR tapes. For more information, see the CHEP2004 poster and paper on the HARP Objectivity to Oracle migration. The goal of the talk will be to draw some general guidelines for Oracle developers from this particular case study.
