Description
The present EGEE tutorial event aims at not only providing in-depth lectures on the EGEE gLite middleware but also offering hands-on practical exercises using gLite on GILDA to those who are interested in application development on the EGEE infrastructure. The tutorial will take place in the Training Centre Auditorium (room R-010 in building 593). Follow this link to see where is building no. 593 inside CERN.

        Introduction to EGEE 1h
The Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) project is funded by the European Commission. It is developing an international, production quality, grid infrastructure. This talk gives a brief introduction to grid computing. It then gives an overview of the EGEE project summarising its activities and status; its operations infrastructure and its applications communities.
