Dr. Ruediger Berlich
Description
The purpose of this event is to introduce Grid Computing in the context of the EGEE project, including its goals, infrastructure, middleware and operations. There is an emphasis on practicals, and so participants are asked to bring a laptop. The course makes use of the Gilda training testbed, as provided by INFN/Catania and partners. Please note that this is a preliminary agenda only. While no bigger changes are likely, some parts of the agenda are still under discussion, so small changes may occur, if and when needed. Dr. Rajkumar Buyya, Dr. Tianchi Ma, Mr. Krishna Nadiminti and Dr. Marco La Rosa (all University of Melbourne) as well as Dr. Ruediger Berlich (Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe / Germany) and Dr. Mike Mineter (National e-Science Centre / Edinburgh / UK) have agreed to contribute to this course.
