Description
NA60 experiment is focused on several open questions in understanding the dimuon production in p-A and A-A collisions. New state-of-the-art tracking detectors in the target region significantly improved the mass resolution of the Muon Spectrometer and added a secondary vertex reconstruction capability.
The second part of the talk will be devoted to the Beam Tracker - a unique detector that tracks every incoming particle in the ion and proton beam, employing 'Lazarus effect'-based cryogenic operation as a radiation hardening technique.
