Description
This joint session is to enable the application groups to discuss the current middleware for job and data management.
The emphasis will be on the evaluations necessary for the production of the application groups evaluation deliverables
by early December in time for project evaluation. The applications will present their current view of the middleware and
the middleware groups will reply and give their views including a forward look to software not in the 2.1. release

Overview of the applications view of the job management middleware20m
An overview will be given of applications experience with WP1 software
in both the LCG and in EDG environments.
An overview will be given of the functionality present in the DAGMAN
software to be evaluated by WP1 (with help from interested experiments)
before the review in Feb
Overview of applications view of WP2 software and 'BrokerInfo'20m
A summary will be given of the experience of the applications with the
software provided by WP2 , and tested in both LCG and EDG environments.
Experiences with 'BrokerInfo' related s/w will also be discussed
Overview of WP2 middleware as present in EDG 2.1 release(and discussion)45m
An overview will be given of the functionality present in the EDG
2.1 release for data management. Replies will be given to the points raised
by the applications.
A brief forward look will be given to software coming after EDG 2.1, but before the
review in Feb.
